Mark Nash is Head of Department of Curating Contemporary Art at the Royal College of Art. He holds a PhD from Middlesex University and is a specialist in contemporary fine art moving image, avant-garde and world cinema. Mark Nash was co-curator of Documenta11 (2002), curator of the Other Cinemas Hub for the Berlin Biennial (2004), and collaborated with Okwui Enwezor on his exhibition The Short Century. He curated a one person show of Hanna Collins for La Caixa in Barcelona and Madrid in 2008, and Experiments With Truth at the Fabric Workshop and Museum in Philadelphia (2004-5). Prior to joining the RCA, he was Director of Fine Art Research at Central St Martins College of Art and Design. His collection of essays Screen Culture Theory was published by Palgrave in 2007, and he wrote on the time and space issues for exhibiting video, including examples from ZKM and the Venice Biennial in the 2007 book What Makes a Great Exhibition?
