Both Khirkeeyaan and the collection of video chain-letters created by film-maker Miranda July (the woman behind cult movie Me, You And Everyone We Know) under the alias Joanie 4 Jackie deliver on Broadcast Yourself’s central premise, showcasing how television can allow disenfranchised groups to take centre stage, for a while at least.
